Karen is a highly experienced expert, from a formidable family of real estate leaders in Tahoe. Her combination of patience, responsiveness and calm intellect lead to a wonderful working experience. Her company is small but mighty, and we really appreciated the friends-and-family feeling of it. Unlike the huge corporate agencies and brokerages, her team feels like they’re really genuinely wanting to make the process good for the customer. She went out of her way to make exceptions for us, changing process or modifying terms. The new Buyers Agreement process was confusing, and we interviewed many agents, but her ability to comprehend and discuss incentives and implications of the new legal arrangement led us to feel strongly that we were safe in her hands. She was organised and created spreadsheets for our escrow processes, keeping on top of all nuances of the inspections. We even fell out of escrow due to a mold issue and she found us a new property within 10 days which exceeded our expectations. We had a goal to buy before the snow fell, which we perfectly executed against, and we are now living in our first home thanks to Karen. Lastly I’ll mention that Karen got very sick during our time working together, and she handled this with grace, passing us on to work with another realtor in her team who she trusts for the week or so she was out of action. We didn’t miss any deadlines or have any issues from this at all.
